ABOUT THE HYTTA

The Hytta in Järnboås is an experience in itself, but if you also appreciate good food, outdoor life and beautiful nature or cultural history, you have found your place on earth. The house is rented weekly or for longer periods throughout the year and fits a maximum of 11 people.

 

Year of construction: 1861, dating from the 16th century

Services within walking distance: general store, gas station

Size: 160 sqm plus 80 sqm in separate guest house

If you make a reservation for six people or more, 

you will also gain access to the guest house.

Three bedrooms are located in the main house.

Three bedrooms with private bath are located in the adjacent guest house, Silo by the river. The guest house rooms are accessed via exterior stairs.

C bedroom, 160 cm, entrance via passage through room B

D bedroom, extra mattress, closed room

The 160-year-old furnace in the heart of Bergslagen was used for the production of iron ore until the mid 50'.

 

On the site and in the surrounding forest, several ruins remain from the time when it was still a vibrant industry.

EQUIPPMENT

The house is equipped with stove, gas and electric stove, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, three bathrooms, bathtub and shower, wifi, TV+Apple TV, patio, garden, barbecue area.

Feel fre to take a swim in the river

Sheets and towels can be rented at a cost of SEK 100 per person - or bring your own. Let us know when you make your reseration.

ACCESS

The Hytta tower is 3,5 floors high with steep stairways. Unfortunately, we can't offer handicap access. 

Small children must be attended at all times due to water access and steep falls.
